Nicola Sturgeon will today unveil a new draft energy strategy in a bid to put the Scottish Government back on track to meet its “world leading” climate change targets.
Nicola Sturgeon has been warned Scotland’s highly ambitious climate targets are “in danger of being meaningless” because her government still has no clear plan to meet them.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has declared she does not think the Cambo oil field should be given the green light as she revealed the COP26 summit has left her with a “renewed sense of responsibility to go further and faster” in tackling climate change.
"The world as designed by men has destroyed many things," Cop26 delegates have been told, as leaders and campaigners warned that the climate crisis could not be ended without the empowerment of women.
The leader of the nation hosting COP26 said she hoped that a century from now, people will look back and “describe Glasgow as the place which really took the correct fork in the road for our planet.”
