Despite having declared a climate emergency and called for a phase-out of natural gas-fired electricity generation, Windsor city council has now endorsed the construction of two new gas plants.
A Southwestern Pennsylvania company that was looking to build a natural-gas power plant in Washington County has cancelled its plans, and withdrawn its request for a permit from Pennsylvania's Department of Environmental protection.
Next to site of one of the largest natural gas power plants in the country, neighbors say the dust, noise and loss of their homes have caused them distress.
