The head of NASA bucked President Trump this week, saying that he sees no reason to reject the findings of a major climate change report from the United Nations.
NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine said Wednesday that he always believed humans caused climate change and that his remarks in a 2013 speech implying otherwise were misconstrued.
If Bridenstine's position on climate change has shifted toward the scientific mainstream, he may find himself staking out a lonely position among his former Republican colleagues in Congress.
Under Jim Bridenstine, the newly-installed, climate-denying NASA Administrator, the agency cancelled a $10 million research line that used satellites and aircraft to monitor carbon sources and sinks.
